  • Introduction
  • Baugil Trail Course 15 leads to the Gangneung Arboretum. Gangneung is known as the hometown of pine trees, which is why it is often called “Solhyang,” meaning the fragrance of pine. Unlike typical arboretums in other regions that feature artificially landscaped flower gardens, the Gangneung Solhyang Arboretum is designed as a natural forest experience and learning space centered around the native Geumgang pine trees that cover the entire mountain.
  • Tourist Guide
  • Starting from Seongsan Food Village, this trail is filled with the refreshing scent of pine as it passes through the Gangneung Arboretum. It continues along a path rich with a thousand years of history, passing the Three-story Stone Pagoda at Sinboksa Temple Site, originally established by the Silla-era eminent monk Beomil Guksa in Daegwallyeong.
