Introduction
Baugil Course 14 is also known as Chohui-gil. It is rare to find, in any city in Korea, a forest trail that begins in the city center and leads all the way to the sea. However, Gangneung offers exactly such a path. This trail allows travelers arriving at the Gangneung Bus Terminal to cross just one traffic light and immediately enter the beautiful forest paths of Wondaejae, Bongsudae, and Chunggabong. The route continues through Chodang Village, the birthplace of Heo Nanseolheon, and extends all the way to Gyeongpo Beach. “Chohui” was the birth name of Heo Nanseolheon, and this trail is as beautiful as her name and her poetry.
