  • Travel Tips
  • “Haeparang Trail Course 37” begins at “Anin Beach,” passes through “Waterfront Park,” and ends at the “Odokttegi Training Center.” The total distance is 17.6 km and takes approximately 6 hours to complete.

To reach the starting point by public transportation, take Bus No. 109 from “Gangneung Intercity Bus Terminal,” transfer to Bus No. 112 at “Jungang Market,” and get off at “Anin Bus Stop.” From there, walk approximately 170 meters to reach the trailhead.

The first stop on the course is “Anin Beach,” located in Anin-ri, Gangdong-myeon, Gangneung-si, Gangwon State. The beach is known for its clear waters and shallow depth, and freshwater from the nearby “Gunseon River” flows into the sea, allowing visitors to enjoy both seawater and freshwater bathing.

The second point along the course is “Waterfront Park.” From here, you will need to continue for approximately 13.8 km to reach the “Odokttegi Training Center.”

Along the trail, you will encounter “Jeonggami Waterfront Park,” “Pungho Lotus Complex,” “Jeonggami Hiking Trail,” and “Gulsansa Temple Flagpole Supports.” In particular, the “Pungho Lotus Complex” features a vast lotus field with beautifully colored flowers in full bloom. At the center of the lotus field is a lake where visitors can also experience traditional boat rides.

If you wish to create lasting memories by enjoying beautiful flowers with your loved ones and taking photos against a picturesque backdrop, this is a highly recommended spot.

Additionally, the “Gulsansa Temple Flagpole Supports,” located at the Gulsansa Temple Site in Haksan-ri, Gujeong-myeon, Gangneung-si, are relics from the Unified Silla period. They are among the largest of their kind in Korea, making them a must-see along the course.

Following the trail, the final destination is the “Odokttegi Exhibition Hall,” where the traditional “Odokttegi” folk song, passed down in the Gangneung area of Gangwon State, is preserved and taught.
